Hey, so today I'm going to show you a few places in Lyon. I know I've been absent but college life is hard and etc. So on this article I'm going to show you things you can do, that I actually did this time I went to Lyon, in 7 days.
DAY 1
I went from Porto to Lyon so from the Airport Sá Carneiro to the Airport Saint-Exupéry with the Transavia company. The flight was very pleasant and the staff was super nice. Once I arrived at Lyon, at 22pm, I went to the cabs that were in front of the airport and they wanted 80€ to bring me home, so it was a little bit of a shock. I admit I felt stolen so I said "No thanks" and I checked my Uber app, I never used it before so I saw the estimate price was 47€, and as it was the first race, I used a promo code from Sananas2106 and I got -20€ so from the initial price that they asked me - 80€, I finally paid 27€ and it was a great success for me! I got home after a long day and I rested.
DAY 2
Lunch at Thé Ou (9 Rue Chavanne, 69001 Lyon) is almost mandatory when you're in Lyon. It's a tea room, with an extremely modern decoration, almost minimalist but cosy at the same time, with a corner of romantic decoration that looks like the 19th century tea rooms. At the entry there's an elephant's sculpture made by a portuguese artist named José da Silva Fonseca. This tea room stands out for its desserts which are incredible, different but still accessible to anyone, I mean, I'm really weird concerning food and I loved every dessert I ate there. But they also have a lunch menu that changes sometimes but the first and the last time I went there it was at first a salad, then a toast and finally the dessert. I'm just showing the pictures and not explaining what it is, but I can assure you that it is worth it.
DAY 1

After that I went to Mathilde M. (10 rue de Brest, 69002 Lyon) which is a romantic store that revisits the 18th century bringing a touch of modernity. They're mainly based on perfumes and they also do partenrships with other brands which brings a lot of interesting things to the store.
DAY 3
Sunday is flea market day. Les Puces du Canal (3 Rue Eugène Pottier, 69100 Villeurbanne) is the second flea market in France. This market has antiquities, designer pieces, forge and carpenter pieces. From 17th century objects to fifties industry machines, from dolls to furniture, there is everything with negociable prices, and most of all, a great pleasure for antiquities lovers's eyes.
DAY 4
In my familly there's armenian and libanese origins so we like to eat libanese food and this adress is the best one - Liban Market, Ets. Matar (33 Rue Léon Jouhaux, 69003 Lyon) - there's the store at first and then a little room for the restaurant part, there's a "today's special" meal everyday of the week but also on demand. They also bring you home but you have to live in Lyon obviously.
After lunch, we went shopping so we went to Maison du Monde, Chaise Longue, Pilones, Little Extra, MAC Cosmetics (Part Dieu Mall 17 Rue du Dr Bouchut, 69003 Lyon); Eurodif (43 Rue Grenette, 69002 Lyon); Tati (9 Rue Grenette, 69002 Lyon); Peggysage (10 Rue du Président Edouard Herriot, 69001 Lyon); and two of my favourite shops:
Comptoir de Famille (60 Rue du Président Edouard Herriot, 69002 Lyon) which is a decoration shop with a very particular style because everything is about retro and farm houses;
Le Petit Souk (3 rue Confort, 69002 Lyon) which is a shop that sells plenty of different things since toys, dishes, blankets, decoration items but everything in the same ambient - bohemia, retro, ethnic plenty of charm where I got this unicorn plate;
DAY 5
The fifth day was magical. I was incredibly lucky to visit beautiful places as the Chateau de Bâgnols (Le Bourg, 69620 Bagnols) and the Hotel de Ville de Lyon (1 Place de la Comédie, 69001 Lyon).
The Chateau de Bagnols is a 5 stars hotel that kept the medieval look, words can't really express how beautiful this place is but maybe knowing that Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise spent their honeymoon there can help you. The kitchen chef has a star and I understand why because I mean, I don't like fish, and I loved the whole lunch (salmon, risotto, pears with chocolate...).
After that we continued visiting incredible places like the Hotel de Ville altough this can't be visited, I had the chance to thanks to my uncle who is a photographer. The beauty of the salons was incredible so I'll just let you with the pictures that I took.
Finalizing this amazing day, we went to a shop and then to an unusual tea room.
First we went to Marilyn (55 Rue Auguste Comte, 69002 Lyon) which is an unique antiquities shop, her speciality are dolls, but what comes first to the eye when you go into the space is the quantity of tea and coffee services. The space is really small, you can barely move and I'll let you discover the unusual way of displaying the products:
Then we went to L'exquise Trouvaille (23 Rue de la Charité, 69002 Lyon), this shop has a pretty cool concept. It is a tea room, decoration shop, and workshop sometimes.
DAY 6
And after such a breath taking day, the last days were dedicated to shopping and chill. I went to HEMA (53 Place de la Republique, 69002 Lyon) that opened recently in Lyon. It's amazing, there's plenty of choice with really low prices - stationery, toys, kitchen items, bathroom items, beauty items, food, themed items... Then we went to the new Lindt store (53 Rue du Président Edouard Herriot, 69002 Lyon) to get some rest and it was amazing!
DAY 7
To end this amazing week it was really a shame that we chose Ryanair to come back home because it was the worst flight ever.
